Offshore Software Development Company, Without the Gamble
We're an offshore software development company in Ahmedabad, India. You get dedicated senior engineers, guaranteed overlap with your time zone, and working software demoed every Friday. We've served the US, UK, Europe, Australia, and the UAE since 2014, with enough transparency that the distance stops mattering.
Free scoping call · reply within 12 hours · NDA before details if you prefer
Endorsed by engineers. Trusted by founders.
Why companies really go offshore
The economics are real, but the companies that succeed offshore buy capability, not just a lower invoice:
70%
of companies say cost reduction is a primary reason they outsource. The successful ones in the same survey, though, outsource for capability and speed, not price alone.
17%
projected growth in US software developer demand this decade (far faster than average). That gap is what makes hiring slow at home, and it’s the reason offshore capacity exists.
The system that makes offshore work
Every offshore horror story is a process failure: silence, surprises, and a vendor whose incentives point away from yours. We engineered our process against all three:
Overlap hours, guaranteed
Our afternoon is Europe’s morning, and our evening is the US workday. That buys you real-time hours with the engineers every working day instead of a 24-hour reply cycle.
Working software every Friday
The classic offshore failure is silence followed by surprises. Our cadence makes that impossible: a staging URL you click through weekly, from week two onward.
Your tools, your language
We work inside your stack (Slack, Jira, Linear, or email) in plain English, with the engineers themselves in the channel. There’s no account-manager translation layer.
IP and confidentiality by default
NDA before the first detailed call if you want it, IP assignment written into every agreement, and the repository in your organization’s account whenever you prefer.
When offshore is the wrong choice
No ranking competitor will tell you this, so we will. Skip offshore (including us) if:
- You need people physically in your office every day. Hire locally; it’s the right call.
- Your scope is genuinely undefined and you can’t spend an hour a week looking at demos. No delivery model survives zero engagement.
- You’re shopping purely for the lowest hourly number. A bargain-rate team that ships the wrong thing twice costs triple, and we compete on engineering per dollar, not on the smallest invoice.
How we engage
Two models, with the same terms for everyone (the rate never shifts with how the call goes):
Dedicated offshore engineers
$22/hour
senior engineers, month to month, working in your backlog with your tools; scale up, pause, or stop whenever you need
Fixed-cost offshore project
Fixed quote
a written scope, timeline, and price before we start (typically 40–60% below equivalent US project quotes)

“Redlio Labs delivered a functional website, meeting the client's expectations. The team was responsive to the client's feedback and remained present throughout the engagement. Redlio Labs communicated well via email and messaging apps.”

Offshore development, answered
How much does offshore software development cost?
Two models: dedicated senior engineers billed hourly, month to month, or a fixed project quote agreed in writing before we start, which typically lands 40–60% below equivalent US agency pricing for the same scope. The estimate you get is the one you pay, and scope changes are priced in writing before they happen.
Your rates are well below US agencies. Is the work junior?
No. The rate reflects where we operate, not who does the work. Ahmedabad’s cost base is a fraction of San Francisco’s, and we pass that through instead of pocketing the spread behind a “blended rate”. The engineers are senior, a second senior reviews every merge, and you can judge the output weekly on a staging URL. That’s more scrutiny than most onshore teams invite.
How do time zones work with an Indian development team?
India’s working day overlaps Europe every afternoon and the US every morning-to-midday (our evening). We schedule standups and demos inside your overlap window, and asynchronous work happens while you sleep. Done well, the time difference becomes extra cycle time, not a delay.
How do you protect our IP and source code?
NDA on request before any detailed discussion, IP assignment written into every agreement (ownership transfers to you), and the code lives in a repository your organization controls from as early as you like. We’re also happy to work inside your own infrastructure and access policies.
What are the real risks of offshore development?
Three, honestly: communication drift, quality opacity, and misaligned incentives on hourly billing. Our process is built against each one. Engineers sit in your channel with guaranteed overlap hours, you click through working software every Friday, and fixed quotes are available so the incentive to stretch hours disappears. If a vendor can’t explain their answer to this question, that is the risk.
Can we start small before committing?
Please do. Most offshore relationships should start with a scoped first engagement: a six-week MVP, a defined feature, or one dedicated engineer for a month. You’ll know everything you need about working with us before any larger commitment, and there’s no lock-in at any point.
Ready to test us on something small?
A scoped first engagement, a written quote within days, and a demo by the second Friday.
