What the online course app had to do

A learner opens a course app for one of two reasons: to find a class, or to carry on with one. The app has to make both quick, and to mark the finish when it comes.

The design opens on new courses, with the subject filters just below. Each course card carries its lesson count, its tutor and the people taking it. The learner’s own courses sit in one list, each with a coloured bar, and a finished course ends in a certificate to download.

What we designed

  1. App screens

    Home, my courses, a course page and the certificate.

  2. Visual elements

    Colour, type, icons and cards for the app’s screens.

  3. Brand identity

    The mark and wordmark, and their use on a round sign.

  4. Branded items

    The identity applied to a polo shirt and to pens.
