Design work: Marketing and advertising
Agency website design and development for a digital marketing agency: Vision Craft
Vision Craft is a digital marketing agency website we designed: a black homepage with one yellow accent for laptop, tablet and phone, and the mark carried on to a sign and a paper cup. The page also sets out how we develop an agency website behind screens like these: case studies, client proof, the quote form and where each lead came from.

What the agency website had to do
A marketing agency is judged by its own website before anyone reads a word about its services. A prospect reads it as a sample of the work, so the page has to say what the agency does, show it can be trusted and ask for one next step.
The design is black, with white type and a single yellow for the things that matter: the quote button, the mark and the phrase the agency wants remembered. The headline and Get a Free Quote come first, and the same order holds on a tablet and a phone.
- One accent colorYellow marks the button and the key phrase.
- The ask comes firstA quote button sits under the headline.
- The same on a phoneOne column, in the order of the desktop.
Agency website development, from the case study to the lead source
The pages are the part a prospect sees. An agency website runs on four more parts behind them, and they decide most of the build.
Case studies as structured pages
Each project in the CMS with the client, the brief, the work and the results the client signed off, so a new case study is published by the team without a developer.A quote form that qualifies the lead
The service, the timeline and how the prospect found the agency, sent to the CRM with the page and campaign it came from, so sales sees what each enquiry wants.Tracking that waits for consent
Analytics and ad tags load through one tag layer after the visitor’s consent choice, so the agency measures its own channels the way it would for a client.A site that holds the speed it sells
Fonts, images and motion kept inside a performance budget, so the site meets the Core Web Vitals targets an agency audits for its clients.
What the Vision Craft agency website does
Every page answers the questions a prospect brings to an agency: what it does best, who it has done it for, and what happens after the ask.
Case studies with results the client approved
One page per project: the client, the brief, the channels, the work and the results, each figure with its period and a line saying the client approved it.
Services led by the one the agency sells best
Paid search first, then SEO, content and social, each with what is included, who it suits and the case study that proves it.
A quote form that asks what sales needs
Name, company, the service, the timeline and how they found the agency, in two short steps on a phone, with the yellow button at the end of each.
Client proof a prospect can check
Logos the clients agreed to show, quotes with a name and role, and a link to the agency’s reviews on an independent platform.
Every lead arrives with its source
New enquiries in the CRM with the service asked for, the page they came from and the channel that sent them, so the agency reads its own pipeline by source. Proposed scope.
An identity that carries from the screen to the street
The stepped mark and the rounded wordmark on the site, the building sign and the paper cup, with the black, white and yellow the homepage sets.

Before you brief anyone
Planning an agency website? Settle these first
Settle the lead service, the cleared proof and the quote form before the homepage.
Request a scoping callDecide which service the homepage sells first.
A first screen that lists every channel the agency offers says nothing about what it does best; the rest of the list belongs one click down, each service with the case study that proves it.
Decide what proof stands next to the ask, and get it cleared.
A client logo, a quote and a result can all count as endorsements under the FTC’s guides, so each needs the client’s agreement and a figure the agency can support. Our B2B web design page covers how proof is placed on every page.
Decide what the quote form asks and where it goes.
The service, the timeline and how the prospect found the agency are enough to qualify a lead, and the form should send them to the CRM with the page and campaign they came from. Where no CRM fits the agency’s pipeline, our custom CRM development work builds one.
Then hold the site to the standard the agency sells.
Speed, consent and tracking are part of the build, not a later fix. Our web development page covers the build, the website redesign checklist lists what an old site must not lose, and our guide to website redesign cost explains the budget.

What does agency website design include?
The homepage and the service pages, case study pages, a proof section with logos, quotes and reviews, a quote or contact form, and the brand applied across them, designed for laptop, tablet and phone. Vision Craft adds the identity: the mark on a building sign and a paper cup.
Do you develop agency websites as well as design them?
Yes. We design agency websites through our web design service and build them through our web development work, with case studies in a CMS, the quote form connected to the CRM and tracking behind consent. Vision Craft, shown here, is design work: the site and the brand.
What should a digital marketing agency website include?
A clear statement of what the agency does best, case studies with results the clients approved, proof a prospect can check and one ask. Vision Craft puts the headline and a yellow Get a Free Quote button first, then a statement with one phrase picked out in yellow.
Can an agency show client logos and results on its website?
Yes, with the client’s agreement. Under the FTC’s Endorsement Guides a logo can be an endorsement and a quoted result implies others get it too, so we plan an approval step for each case study and show each figure with its period.
Should an agency use a website template or a custom build?
A template suits a small agency with a few pages and no case study library. A custom build pays when the agency publishes case studies often, runs several services and locations, or wants every lead in the CRM with its source.
How much does a marketing agency website cost?
The page count, the case study library, the CRM connection and the brand work decide it, so we quote after a scoping call instead of from a price list. Our guide to website redesign cost shows how the figure is built.
What an agency website has to get right before launch
An agency website sells on client logos, testimonials and results, then follows up by email, and each of those has a rule behind it.
§255.0
A client logo counts as an endorsement
The FTC’s Endorsement Guides say the name or seal of an organization can be an endorsement, so each client logo on the site needs a real client behind it.
FTC Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR 255§255.2
Results quotes read as typical results
A client quote about a result implies others get it too; without proof that it is typical, the page must clearly disclose what clients generally achieve.
FTC Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR 255.2§255.5
Connections behind a review disclosed
A payment, a discount or a personal tie between the agency and a reviewer that the audience would not expect must be disclosed clearly and conspicuously.
FTC Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR 255.5No stars
No review stars for reviews of yourself
Google makes Organization and LocalBusiness pages ineligible for review stars when the business controls the reviews about itself, widgets included.
Google review snippet guidelines10 days
Follow-up email that honors opt-outs
CAN-SPAM makes no exception for business email: each message needs a postal address and an opt-out, honored within 10 business days.
FTC CAN-SPAM guide200 ms
Motion that still answers a tap
A good Interaction to Next Paint is 200 milliseconds or less at the 75th percentile, which heavy scroll effects on an agency homepage often miss.

We check the proof, the follow-up email and the performance budget during scoping, so the site launches with nothing a client would ask to take down.
