Client project: Events and hospitality
Event website design for a new conference venue, scoped in stages
A consulting firm in Munich was opening Pawrti, a venue for conferences and keynotes, and needed web services to present it and to manage it. The scope was settled in stages before five developers built the site.

The brief: explain a new venue, clearly
Pawrti is a space for business events: conferences, keynotes, panel discussions, product launches and the networking around them. The venue was new, so the website had to explain it.
The brief was plain. Make a site everyone can connect with, make clear what the company does, and give visitors a contact page. The site was divided into two sections, Conference and Keynote, so a visitor could go straight to the format they were planning.
- Say what it isA venue, and the formats it hosts.
- Two clear sectionsConference and Keynote.
- A way to get in touchA contact page beside the landing page.
How the scope was settled, one stage at a time
The firm saw the site take shape at every stage, so each decision was made while it was still cheap to change.
Three mockups, not one
The firm compared three and chose a direction.A prototype
An interactive model of the site, so changes could be tried before anything was built.Short one-to-one sessions
The firm’s ideas were added on the prototype, while a change was still a conversation. Then the responsive build
Only after that did five developers move to the build and its responsive optimization.
What the venue website does
A new venue has to explain itself before anyone books it. Every page was planned around the question an event planner arrives with.
A landing page that says what the venue is
The first screen names the place and what it hosts: conferences, keynotes, panel discussions, product launches and the networking around them. A planner knows within seconds whether it fits their event.
Conference and Keynote, one click from the homepage
The site is divided into two sections, one for each format the venue sells, so a visitor goes straight to the kind of event they are planning instead of reading about both.
A contact page beside the landing page
For a venue the next step is a conversation, so the route to the contact page sits next to the landing page rather than at the foot of the site.
Real photographs of the spaces and event setups
The original venue photographs show the conference space, breakout rooms, audiences and event stage. They give planners a concrete view of the setting alongside the pages for each event format.
A style guide, then a responsive build
The shared style guide sets out the teal gradient, supporting orange and violet-to-pink gradients, and type specifications for Poppins, DM Serif Display and Royal Saroh. Five developers built the site and optimized it for every screen size.

What the client said about the work
The client reviewed the project on Clutch before the site went live, so the review speaks to how the work was run, not to traffic or bookings. We claim no figure for it.

Before you brief anyone
Planning an event venue website? Decide these first
Settle the formats, the inquiry route and the design direction before anyone prices the build.
Request a scoping callDecide which formats the site sells before the homepage is drawn.
A venue that hosts conferences, keynotes and launches reads more clearly when each format has its own section, so an event planner reaches the right page in one click.
Decide what a visitor does at the end of every page.
For a venue that is usually an inquiry or a request to view the space, so the contact route sits on every page, not only in the footer.
Compare design directions before committing to one.
Two or three mockups side by side, then a clickable prototype, are far cheaper to change than a built site. Our website redesign checklist lists what to settle before design starts.
Write down the features that change the build.
Booking calendars, floor plans, ticketing and a link to the sales CRM each add work, so they are named before quotes are compared. Our web development page covers that side of an event site.

What should an event venue website include?
We start with the formats the venue hosts, each in its own section, then the spaces, photographs of real events and an inquiry route on every page. This site was divided into Conference and Keynote, with a contact page beside the landing page.
Why use mockups and a prototype before building a conference website?
A change on a prototype is a conversation; a change on a built site is rework. Here the firm compared three mockups, chose one direction and added its ideas in short one-to-one sessions before five developers began the build.
What did the venue website project deliver?
Research through surveys and remote interviews, user flows for the key functions, the interface design with a style guide, and the responsive website itself.
Can an event venue website show its events in Google Search?
Yes, if the events are open to the public. Event markup with a name, a start date and a location makes each one eligible for Google’s event results, and a claimed Business Profile covers the venue itself in Maps.
How much does event website design cost?
It depends on the pages, the inquiry and booking features and what the site connects to, so we quote after a scoping call, not from a rate card. Our website redesign cost guide sets out the factors that change the estimate.
Do you design websites for event venues?
Yes. We design and build venue and event websites as part of our web design work, from the first mockups to the responsive build. The firm behind this venue was a returning client, and a business partner had also recommended us.
What a venue website has to get right today
A venue site is found in Search and Maps, judged on a phone and, in Germany, bound by two disclosure rules. A build that starts now plans for these from day one.
Name, date, place
Events can show in Google Search
Event markup with a name, a start date and a location makes a public event eligible for Google’s event results. Members-only and invitation-only events are not.
Google event markupKeep the date
A moved or cancelled event stays accurate
When an event changes, Google asks for its status to be updated and the original start date kept, not removed.

The main image loads fast on a phone
A good Largest Contentful Paint is within 2.5 seconds, with interactions under 200 milliseconds and layout shift under 0.1, measured at the 75th percentile of visits.

A claimed Business Profile
A verified Google Business Profile controls the address, contact details and photos that show for the venue in Maps and the knowledge panel.
Google Search Central§ 25 TDDDG
Consent before non-essential cookies
In Germany, storing or reading anything on a visitor’s device needs their consent unless it is strictly necessary for the service they asked for.
TDDDG § 25§ 5 DDG
An Impressum on every commercial site
A business offering digital services in Germany keeps its provider details easy to find, directly reachable and always available. The rule moved from the TMG to the DDG in May 2024.
DDG § 5
We check each of these during scoping, next to the mockups, so the venue launches with them in place.
