What the trading platform UI had to do
A trader reads many numbers at once and acts on a few of them. The interface has to show price movement and holdings without making them compete for attention.
The design puts the chart first, keeps the lists dense but ordered, and uses color only where it carries meaning: up, down and the selected instrument.

Before you brief anyone
Planning a trading platform interface? Decide these first
Give the chart the space, give color a meaning, and scope the market data on its own.
Request a scoping callDecide which view a trader lives in.
For an active trader that is usually the price chart, so it takes the most space and the lists of holdings and orders are arranged around it.
Decide what color is allowed to mean.
On a trading screen color reads as information: up, down, selected. Spent on decoration, it competes with the price, so the palette is kept to those meanings.
Plan for density from the first wireframe.
Traders compare many numbers at once, so type size, row height and number alignment decide whether a long list stays readable on a tablet as well as a desktop. Our SaaS design work starts from those rules.
Scope the build apart from the design.
Live market data, order execution, brokerage links and compliance each add to stock trading app development, and none of them shows in a screen design. Our fintech page covers that side.

What makes a good trading platform UI?
A good trading UI lets a trader read many numbers and act on a few without hunting for them. The TradeSync design puts the price chart first, keeps holdings in dense but ordered lists, and uses color only for up, down and the selected instrument.
Should trading platform design cover tablet as well as desktop?
We design for every screen traders actually use. TradeSync was designed for tablet and desktop, with the market and portfolio views laid out for each.
Do you do trading app development as well as design?
