What the jewelry website had to do
An online jewelry store has to do what a shop window does: show each piece clearly, and help a buyer narrow the range to the few worth a closer look.
The homepage is dark and warm, with a serif headline and one button into the categories. The shop page turns white so the product photographs carry it, with a filter, a sort order, a wishlist heart and the price under each piece.

Before you brief anyone
Planning a jewelry website? Decide these before the design
Plan the filters, the photography and the reassurance before the homepage.
Request a scoping callDecide how a buyer will narrow the catalog before anyone draws the homepage.
Jewelry is browsed by type, metal, stone and price, and the shop filters only help when every piece is tagged the same way.
Settle one photography standard for the whole range.
A white shop page puts every piece side by side, so a ring shot in different light or at a different scale from the pendant next to it looks out of place.
Choose where the reassurance sits.
Someone buying a piece they cannot hold looks for the price, any discount, sizing and returns close to the product, so those details need a fixed place before the layout is signed off. Our ecommerce page sets out how we approach online stores.
Treat design and build as two scoped steps.
Jewelry website development follows a signed-off design, and our website redesign checklist lists what to settle when an existing store is being replaced.

What should a jewelry website include?
Clear product photographs, filters by type and price, the price under every piece and a way to save a piece for later. The Brilora shop page shows each of these: a filter, a sort order, a wishlist heart, and the price and discount under each item.
Why is the shop page white when the homepage is dark?
The dark, warm homepage with its serif headline sets the tone, and the shop page turns white so the product photographs carry it. A plain background keeps rings, pendants and earrings easy to compare.
How much does a jewelry website cost?
The size of the catalog, the platform and how much of the store is custom set the figure, so we quote once the scope is written down. Our guide to website redesign cost explains what moves it.
Was a brand identity designed with the jewelry website?
Yes. The Brilora wordmark was designed with the site, and the page shows it in metal letters on a building front and printed on a white paper shopping bag.
Do you design jewelry ecommerce websites?
Yes. Brilora is our design work for an online jewelry store, shown under its project name, and we take on stores like it through our web design service.
