Crypto wallet app design in dark mode, for a balance and trending coins

An app for a crypto wallet, designed under the project name Apex: the home screen with the balance and the trending coins, the profile screen, and the mark that goes with them.

What the crypto wallet app had to do

Someone opening a wallet app wants one number first: what they hold. After that they want to see what the market is doing, without the two getting mixed up.

The home screen puts the balance at the top in lime, the app’s one accent color. Trending coins follow as cards with a price, a small chart and the day’s change. The profile screen keeps the wallet, the QR scanner and the settings in one list.

  • One accent colorLime marks the balance and the gains.
  • A chart per coinPrice and the day’s change on a card.

Before you brief anyone

Planning a crypto wallet app? Decide these first

Put the balance first, design the trust screens with care, and scope custody and integrations on their own.

Request a scoping call
  1. Decide what the first screen answers.

Someone opening a wallet wants to know what they hold before anything else, so the balance takes the top of the screen and the market sits below it.

  2. Decide where trust is shown.

Security settings, recovery and transaction confirmations are the screens people check before they trust a wallet with funds, so they are designed as carefully as the home screen, not left to defaults.

  3. Choose dark mode on purpose.

A dark interface suits charts and a single bright accent, but every text size and state needs its contrast checked, which makes it a design decision rather than a theme switch.

  4. Keep the build in its own scope.

Custody, blockchain integrations, key management and compliance each add to crypto wallet app development, and none of them appears in a mockup. Our fintech page describes that work, and our guide to mobile app development cost shows what moves an estimate.

What should a crypto wallet app home screen show?

The balance first, then the market. The Apex design puts the wallet balance at the top in lime, the one accent color, with a search bar and trending coins below as cards with a price, a small chart and the day’s change.

Is dark mode a good choice for crypto wallet UI design?

It can be. Black screens let charts and a single accent stand out, as lime does in the Apex design, but each text size and state needs its contrast checked.

Which screens does crypto app design cover?

At the least, a home screen with the balance and the market, and a profile with the wallet, a QR scanner, assets and security settings, as in Apex. A full product adds sending, receiving, transaction history and onboarding, scoped per app.

Do you build crypto wallet apps as well as design them?

This project is design work: the screens and the brand mark. Development is a separate step with its own scope for custody, integrations and security; see our mobile app development page.

Do you offer crypto app design?

Yes. We design wallet, trading and other fintech app screens as part of our mobile app design work.
