What the mental health website had to do
Someone who opens a mental health website may not be having their best day. The page has to be calm, say what is on offer in a few words, and ask for one small step.
The design is mostly white space and thin capitals. A small label names the subject, the headline is three words around a soft sculpted shape, and a black Join Now button follows the text. A muted mountain photograph closes the first screen, and the same gray-green is used for the mark and the sign.
- Calm before anything elseWhite space, thin capitals, soft color.
- Three words up topThe headline reads Your Mind Matters.
- One small stepA single Join Now button under the text.

Before you brief anyone
Planning a mental health website? Decide these first
Settle the one small step, who the site speaks for and how inquiries are handled before the design.
Request a scoping callDecide the first step the site asks for.
Booking a session, a short consultation call or joining a program: one small step, offered once on the first screen, asks little of someone who may be hesitant to reach out.
Decide who the site speaks for.
Therapist website design centers on one person and their approach, while a group practice or a wellness service needs clinician profiles and a way to match people to the right one.
Decide early how inquiries are handled.
A form that asks about symptoms collects health information, so the form, where it is hosted and who reads it are settled with whoever owns privacy before the design starts. Our healthcare software development page covers systems that hold patient data.
Then plan how people will find it.
Our guide to website redesign cost explains the budget, and healthcare SEO is how a practice site is found in search once it is live.

What should a therapist website include?
Who the therapist helps and how, the practical facts a new client checks (fees, location or online sessions, insurance if taken), and one clear way to get in touch. The tone matters as much as the content: calm type, space and a single small step.
How do you make a mental health website feel calm?
With space, restraint and one ask. Pure Harmony’s homepage is mostly white space and thin capitals, a three-word headline, Your Mind Matters, and one black Join Now button, with a muted mountain photograph closing the first screen.
How is a therapy website different from a wellness website?
A wellness website can speak broadly about wellbeing and programs. A therapy website is about care from a qualified person, so who provides it, their credentials and how to start matter most, and any intake form carries health information that needs careful handling.
How much does a mental health website cost?
It varies with the pages, the brand work and any booking or intake tool the site connects to, so we quote after a scoping call. Our guide to website redesign cost covers what moves the figure.
Do you design therapist and mental health websites?
Yes. We design websites for therapists, practices and wellness services as part of our web design work. Pure Harmony is design work only, the homepage and the mark; booking, intake and patient records are scoped separately. Our healthcare website design page covers the notices and accessibility level a practice website has to meet.
